Just spent the past weekend at the Woodstock Invitational Guitar Show. I’d like to thank everybody that stopped my table and expressed their interest. It’s always a good time to meet new people and old friends alike.
I especially would like to thank Baker Rorick, the proprietor of the show, for once again doing a marvelous job. It just keeps getting better and better every year. Thanks Baker.

When necessary, it has always been my policy to increase my prices at the beginning of the new year. It has also been my policy to announce price increases several months in advance to give those considering purchasing an RS Muth guitar an opportunity to place an order prior to the price increase. Having failed to do that I am now announcing that my prices will be increasing as of March 1, 2012. The standard base price on a traditional guitar will be $4700 and the base price on an Ascent guitar will be $5000. All orders accompanied by a deposit prior to March 1 will be honored at the current prices.
I am sad to announce that one of my dealers, Klem Mazuro, has decided to retire. Thus the doors at Cathedral Music are now closed for good. It was a pleasure working with Klem and Cathedral Music had special significance for me since it was located in Troy, NY, the town of my Alma mater, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Klem and his wonderful shop will be greatly missed.
Just got back from Woodstock and had a wonderful time. It is always good to see old friends and to meet new ones. I was very busy at the show and my latest example of the Ascent Series guitar received a lot of attention. Paul Asbell did a great job playing and demonstrating my guitars and chose to use one for his fingerstyle blues workshop. My hats off to Baker Rorick for putting on this show and all the hard work he does. Next year!
